The first time I watched Betty Blue I fell in love with Beatrice Dalle,
And the the Citroen DS together.
Even more the DS with the paint splash on it, done by Betty, in anger all over it’s bonnet.
The shot where the boat sails by on the blue horizon, I loved as well – the first time I watched Betty Blue.
The second time I watched Betty Blue I was in awe of Zorg, because he could write and create a story and modestly hide it.
I loved it as Betty found it, and I loved listening to Gabriel Yared’s beautiful music as Betty shouted “I love him!” Out of the car window into the nights sky as they drove into Paris in love.
The third time I watched Betty Blue I saw a Man loving a Women with an illness that made her want to die and it made me want to cry because he loved her so much.
So much he still had to try.
